St. Anthony Middle School Speech Team Secures 1st Place at Tournament
Congratulations to the St. Anthony Middle School Speech Team, who were champions at the final tournament of the year at Centennial Middle School on February 6. St. Anthony Middle School’s team scored 85 points, outscoring schools from Centennial, Forest Lake, Eden Prairie, White Bear Lake and Monticello.
Finalists from St. Anthony Middle School included Alanna Ault (1st), Andrew Himmer (2nd), and Toby Bergum (8th) in Humorous Prose; Palmer Sola (1st) in Humorous Poetry; Liam Taylor (1st) in Serious Prose; Mitch Andreasen (1st), Jade Nelson (2nd), and Jade Dreier (3rd) in Storytelling; Quinn Bellestri (2nd) in Informative; Mary Buie (2nd) in Creative Expression, and Mahvish Khan (3rd) in Extemporaneous Reading.
