Local Scholarships

UPDATE 4/6/10

Great News!  We have one additional scholarship to announce that was added over spring break----the Juli A. McDaniel Memorial Scholarship Program 2010 (PDF).

This scholarship is in the amount of $3,000.  The application is due April 16th at 3PM - the students receive an additional week to complete the application and will continue to be a part of the Awards Day program on May 28.

Criteria:  Applicant must be a graduating senior from SAVHS in the year of the award.  Applicant must be accepted and enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution.  Qualities to be considered in the evaluation process include:  leadership, civic mindedness, being inspired to make a different.

Supporting documents:  The Guidance Office will include a current transcript for review. Any reference letters are welcome (but not required).

Senior Meeting

Mr. MacLeod meets with all seniors in the spring to talk about St. Anthony Village High School's Local scholarship program. Copies of the General Application and the Criteria Sheet will be distributed at this meeting.

HOW TO APPLY FOR LOCAL SCHOLARSHIPS Seniors interested in applying for one or more of the available local scholarships need to:

  1. Review Criteria Sheet
  2. Fill out a General Application form;
  3. Fill out any additional Individual Applications as needed (indicated on criteria sheet);
  4. Turn into Guidance Office by announced deadline to be considered, late paperwork will not be considered.

SELECTION PROCESS

There are two selection committees determining local scholarship recipients:

  1. SAVHS Local Scholarship Committee; or
  2. the Sponsoring company/group.

Winners/non-winners will be notified as soon as possible.
