Alison Criss, St. Anthony Middle School English Teacher, has been named the winner of the 2022 NCTE Outstanding Middle Level Educator Award. NCTE stands for the National Council of Teachers of English, and has an over 100-year history of advocating for as well as providing resources and support to educators and students.
Criss was recognized for her justice-approached vision and advocacy for educational equity in her classroom and community. Our St. Anthony - New Brighton staff are wonderful educators, mentors and leaders, and we are so proud of Criss’s accomplishments.
Criss will be announced as the recipient of the NCTE Outstanding Middle Level Educator Award on Friday, November 18, 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m., at the 2022 NCTE Annual Convention Middle Level Luncheon.
