COVID19vaccine

This is an exciting and important update regarding COVID-19 vaccinations for school district staff.

St. Anthony-New Brighton families,

This is an exciting and important update regarding COVID-19 vaccinations for school district staff.

We received notification last week from Hennepin County that the St. Anthony-New Brighton (SANB) middle/high school building had been selected as a COVID-19 Vaccination Site for health-care workers. Last evening, we received notification that SANB staff were also eligible to receive the vaccination at our site.

At this time, the COVID-19 Vaccination Site at the middle/high school building will be available by appointment only for Hennepin County health-care workers, SANB staff and some Minneapolis Public School staff, and those who are 65 years and older.

Beginning today, Jan. 26, all SANB staff are eligible to sign up to receive a COVID-19 vaccination. Here is how it will work:

Please understand that this vaccination process will take time. We are aware that families want to know when their children will return full time to our buildings for in-person learning. Principals, administration, and the Local Incident Team (LIT) are in the process of discussing plans for potential learning models for each grade level, starting Quarter Four (Q4), beginning on April 5 and ending on June 10.

Wilshire Park Elementary School families can tune in tomorrow from 7-8 p.m., Jan. 27, for a virtual Town Hall meeting, hosted by NineNorth (formerly CTV North Suburbs). This event will focus on Quarter Three (Q3) beginning on Feb. 1 to March 25, and the Governor's Safe Learning Plan update for 2021.

St. Anthony Middle School and St. Anthony Village High School families— as we remain in a Distance Learning Model for Q3, please know that will continue to keep you informed on any learning model changes for Q4.
