Educational Benefits

Applying for Educational Benefits gives families access to benefits outside and inside the classroom. Additional benefits include reduced or free: 
 
  • Class lab, activity and supply fees
  • Sports registration fees
  • High school testing fees (Advanced Placement (AP), PSAT)
  • Field trips
  • College applications
  • Open enrolled transportation fees

Educational Benefits is more than support for meals. Benefits can also include supports for your child's academic needs.

It's more than just a meal!

The 2026-27 school year application will open on July 15, 2026. Households need to apply for Educational Benefits every school year unless you receive an award letter from our district office. Please check back for the application link. 

How to apply

A new application must be completed each school year. The application process is confidential.

Three ways to apply:

  1. Sign into Skyward Family Access

Select Food Service Applications
Select Start New Application in upper right hand corner of screen.

2. Download a digital application from this website after July 15, 2026. 

The form is a fillable document. Save and send back to edbenefits@isd282.org.

3. Download a paper application from this website after July 15 every year. 

Print and hand write your information.
