Continuing a legacy of excellence

The St. Anthony-New Brighton Endowment Foundation is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) organization whose purpose is to provide a permanent funding source for the St. Anthony-New Brighton School District (ISD 282).

The foundation is made up of St. Anthony Village High School (SAVHS) graduates and members of the community committed to our schools. We believe that maintaining the successful model of rigorous academics in a caring educational environment will ensure the quality of our schools.

St. Anthony-New Brighton Schools has a rich history of helping students create life stories that have an impact on our communities, our nation, and our world. With schools that regularly receive national recognition for excellence, the families of St. Anthony-New Brighton Schools have access to some of Minnesota’s finest education.

This excellence comes with a price tag, and current levels of public funding no longer foot the bill for the caliber of education that’s needed for challenges the next generation will face.

Filling the gap

In challenging economic times when public funding is no longer sufficient to ensure the levels of excellence and programming that best prepare young people for success, the Foundation’s role is more important than ever.

The foundation helps bridge the funding gap by supporting and enhancing arts and activities programs and academic opportunities, through which students develop strong minds and leadership skills for tomorrow.

This structure allows for every dollar donated to be invested, with income from investments providing funds to preserve excellence and enrichment opportunities for St. Anthony - New Brighton Schools students, for years to come.

The St. Anthony - New Brighton Schools community has always made its schools a top priority, evidenced by a district regularly recognized for excellence:

Since 2006, SAVHS has been recognized seven times by Newsweek as one of America's Top High Schools.
Since 2012, SAVHS has been recognized three times by US News and World Report as one of America's Best High Schools.
In September 2016, SAVHS was one of five Minnesota schools—and the only high school—recognized by U.S. Secretary of Education John B. King Jr. as a National Blue Ribbon Schools for 2016, based on their overall academic excellence.

There are several other options for giving to support the long-term success of our schools. Please consider the following:

Planned giving: Making an outright gift to the Foundation is just one way to support ISD282 students. Another option is to make a planned gift. Planned giving arrangements provide a unique combination of direct benefits to both the Foundation and you. By committing today to make a planned gift to the Foundation, you will have a lasting impact on ISD 282 public education.

Appreciated stock: Donating appreciated stock is an excellent way to maximize your gift. You can receive a tax deduction for the value of the stock on the day of your donation. Please contact us if you have questions.

Memorials: When a loved one passes away, family and friends like to give to an organization with meaning for that person. If your loved one had children or grandchildren who attended our schools, consider designating the Foundation for memorial contributions.

Volunteer: Your talents and expertise can help with projects and special events to benefit our students and the Foundation.
