Back to School Hub

All students must be up to date on their immunizations that are required by MN Law for school attendance or have an exemption on file. If you are unsure if your child is up to date, please refer to Are Your Kids Ready? From the Minnesota Department of Health. This form also contains the necessary forms if you would like to file an exemption. Note: non-medical exemptions must be notarized and medical exemptions must be signed by your child’s healthcare provider (MD, PA, NP). Our school secretaries are notaries and can assist you with this process. You can also check with your child’s provider or contact District Wellness Coordinator Lori Watzl-King (Nurse) for assistance: lwatzl-king@isd282.org or 612-706-1263.

Other ways to get your kids vaccinations in time for school:

• Returning students will receive a communication from District Wellness Coordinator Lori Watzl-King if they are missing immunizations. (You would also have received information last school year.) New students can submit their paperwork to the school office or to Lori Watzl-King.
• All of our students can get FREE immunizations at local clinics using the No Shots No School program. If you would like assistance with this program, please contact Lori Watzl-King at lwatzl-king@isd282.org or 612-706-1263.
• We will be hosting a back to school (FREE) immunization clinic on Tuesday, Sept. 9 from 3:30-8:30 pm in the St. Anthony Village High School Commons.  All students (K-12) can utilize this free immunization clinic. No appointment necessary.

Remember that all students in Kindergarten, 7th, and 12th Grades are due for vaccinations! Make sure to check that your student is up to date!

If your child needs medication during the school day or for emergency situations, please refer to the district website’s Health Services tab under “Medication at School” for the necessary forms to be completed by the healthcare provider. No medications can be given at school without an order from a prescribing healthcare provider. The district follows the I Love U Guys Foundation Standard Response Protocols (SRP) in case of an emergency; emergencies can range from vomit in the hallway to an active threat in or around school grounds. Every year our students and staff take part in safety drills. The district as well as each school has a Crisis Response Team that meets with local emergency response teams throughout the year to review safety practices and coordinate building plans. Open Enrolled BUS zone

Families may be eligible for open enrollment transportation in the open enrolled bus zone by centralized stops. The fee for open enrolled transportation is located below. Fees are nonrefundable and payment is due within the first 30 days of a confirmed route. Find more information about fees and payment options on the Transportation page.

A new application must be completed each school year. The application process is confidential. We recommend applying for benefits as early as possible to avoid unnecessary fees and to receive discounts!

2. Download a digital application from this webpage, available after July 15 every year.

Free School Meals entitles each student to one free breakfast and one free lunch on all in-person academic days. All items outside of the complete meal are considered a la carte purchases. Read more about meals and charges on the Nutrition Services page.

Items that would incur a charge:

• Additional cartons of milk
• Snack items
• Second entrée
• A second breakfast or a second lunch
• Meals that do not meet the minimum requirements
• Meals served to teachers, staff and other adults.

District Student Rights & Responsibilities Handbook 

Families will be asked to acknowledge that they have received and reviewed the district handbook in their Skyward paperwork.

Directory information is basic student details (such as name, grade, participation in activities, photo for yearbook, etc.) that the District may share publicly unless families choose to opt out by September 30.

Registration for fall sports and activities is now open! Head to letsgohuskies.com to get started. Click on the 'Registration' tab to be taken to the registration portal. Make an account or sign in to a pre-existing account and get connected to your student by using their student ID number and date of birth. 

Anyone participating in athletics needs to have a sports physical on file with the athletics office before registering. Sports physicals are good for three years. Download sports physical paperwork. Once the paperwork is completed by a doctor, please email the paperwork to Mary-Clare Johnsen at mjohnsen@isd282.org or bring the physical into the high school office.
