Asynchronous day on Monday, April 8
Monday, April 8th will be an Asynchronous Learning day for all SAVHS students. With family feedback, we have made several adjustments for our Asynchronous expectations. The goal for Asynchronous Day is to provide targeted support for students struggling in their academics. For students that are doing well, they will still be assigned classwork to complete at home.
Expectations for all students:
- Each teacher will post an attendance check in Google Classroom, students are expected to log-in and complete the attendance check for each of their classes.
- Each teacher will assign students an assignment or activity to complete independently. These assignments may be a part of assignments that students have already started.
Students requested by teachers:
- Students needing additional academic support due to failing grades or missing assignments will be requested by the teacher using our WIN system. An email will be sent to the student and their family of their request.
- Students will be expected to attend an in-person student support session by the requested teacher.
- Once the student has connected with the teacher and they have completed the missing assignments or test retakes, they may either stay at school for homework help or be excused and finish their studies at home
Options for unrequested students:
- Students who are not requested may still attend school, regular classes will not be in-session, however students will be provided with home work support in the commons and auditorium.
- Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
- Normal bussing will also be provided
