Suzanne Moum Named Principal of Wilshire Park Elementary School

St. Anthony–New Brighton Schools (ISD 282) is pleased to announce that Suzanne Moum has been selected as the next principal of Wilshire Park Elementary School, beginning in the 2026–2027 school year.

Ms. Moum brings nearly two decades of experience in education, including more than five years as an elementary principal. Her background spans high school teaching, middle school leadership, and district-level work, providing a strong K–12 perspective on student learning and development.

A James Madison Fellow, Ms. Moum brings a leadership approach grounded in thoughtful decision-making, civic responsibility, and a commitment to inclusive practices that support every student. She previously led a successful school turnaround at Crest Hill Elementary in Casper, Wyoming, and is recognized for her expertise in Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), inclusive programming, and building strong, consistent systems.

Throughout the selection process, she was recognized as a highly organized and experienced leader with a proven track record of improving both student outcomes and school systems.

Ms. Moum described St. Anthony–New Brighton Schools as “a true village community—a small, connected place where people are all in for the schools and focused on what is best for kids,” and emphasized her commitment to building on Wilshire Park’s strong foundation while continuing to grow. She noted that her leadership will center on collaboration, working alongside teachers and drawing on their expertise to support students.

Superintendent Renee Corneille said the selection reflects both the district’s priorities and the input of the school community, noting that Ms. Moum demonstrates strong instructional leadership, visible and relational leadership, and a deep commitment to student success. She added that the district “intentionally used a comprehensive, community-informed process” and expressed confidence in both the process and the outcome.

Ms. Moum’s selection reflects the district’s commitment to strong elementary leadership and continued investment in student success.
