Public Schools Week is a time to celebrate the power of public education and the incredible students, educators, and families who make our schools thrive. At St. Anthony-New Brighton, we are committed to nurturing the brilliance of every student, engaging them at heart level, and building a community of lifelong learners.

Leilani Abraham: Triple 'A' Award and 1000 Points!
Leilani Abraham is a band student, she plays basketball, is on the track team, and has been named to the All-Conference Team in both sports. Leilani has scored 1000 career points in basketball at SANB! She's been playing basketball since the 3rd grade and has been on the SAVHS varsity team since freshman year.
When asked how she's feeling after scoring 1000 points, Abraham said, "I feel great! I wouldn't be here without my family and my support system."
Outside of SAVHS, Leilani has taken part in clubs at the University of Minnesota, including Emerging Leaders of Color and Analytics U, where she has had an opportunity to improve her leadership skills and work with other student leaders from various backgrounds. She plans to study Exercise Science next year!
Meet SAVHS Senior Lincoln Urdahl
Lincoln Urdahl has been at St. Anthony-New Brighton School District since the beginning. He's a captain for SAVHS football, hockey, and baseball teams. He's proud to always lead with fun and respect for his teammates. Lincoln is a Triple 'A' Award winner; an honor for student athletes who excel in their academics and the fine arts. SANB Staff Wins MASA Central Office Leadership Award!
Hope Fagerland won the Minnesota Association of School Administrators awarded Hope with the Outstanding Central Office Leadership Award! Nominated by a colleague, she talks about how she's grateful to keep doing the work at SANB.
